STA's Volvo tow truck STA-001 attends a defective 1159 in Foveaux St this morning

Amazing what one stumbles across when one's regular m50 doesn't turn up, and one has to catch a slightly later 391 to get to Central. The truck pulled up just as I got off the bus

I have observed it once while driving, it's huge compared to the older tow trucks.

I was surprised at the length when I saw it.

Perhaps it is this way to balance the load when towing, it does an Eka type boom on the back which I assume could lift a low floor bus.

Observed and took a couple pics of OPS 100 hauling 1683 through North Ryde today on Lane cove Rd southbound.If anyone requires the originals, PM me as these had to be resized.

Probably to handle the bendie fleet. That Volvo would have a lot of torque.
