With the current bushfire emergency in the Blue Mountains, a number of engines were supplied by the Melbourne MFB to respond from Sydney fire stations while the local crews and vehicles were deployed elsewhere.
Two of these trucks were captured around the City station this morning

Re: Foreign fire engines
I saw a Scania from Queanbeyan in Campbelltown this morning too, which is a bit odd. May or may not be related. Campbelltown has a 4x4 Isuzu and a Scania usually - perhaps the 4x4 was seconded for use by the RFS and the Queanbeyan unit was sent to replace it....??

Re: Foreign fire engines
Quenbeyan crew may have come up for the emergency, they have 2 pumps normally. I understand some ACTFB crews are filling in at Q'beyan

I see thanks. It was on a reasonably local street though - perhaps one of the crew had a relative in Campbelltown and 'popped over' as part of the trip.

Re: Foreign fire engines
Was a sight to see the convoy of CFS passing though Wagga yesterday, though missed all but the last two.
Re: Foreign fire engines
ACTFB have also replaced units at Cooma & Yass. For the moment, verification can be found at http://esa.act.gov.au

There's also at least five Queensland Fire and Rescue Service appliances in Katoomba.
Re: Foreign fire engines
The NSW Police have posted some photos of the CFS convoy on their facebook page, must have been quite the sight!

Re: Foreign fire engines
There were ten of them scattered around Sydney.
They will finish duty at 08:00 today, proceed to Homebush to meet up and debrief, then return in convoy to Melbourne.
