Hmmmmm, Mr Osborne did like his ex DGT / PTC deckers, both Atlanteans still have eastern destos fitted.
1149 was new to W :D
1030 could have been P or R ? :?

Yes, AEC Decker did notice those AEC air door Deckers.
And he especially likes ex DGT 2590 with its' genuine DGT 11.00 x 20 dumbbell front tyre.

Unfortunately, both AEC air door Deckers were butchered into motorhomes. :(

Thats funny MO-8094 ex 1149 was brought by Osborn`s for parts according to fleet-list but it looks good for a Atlantean brought for spares.

Look at the side of the bus above the back wheel Bedford-29 and PTC fleet number 1149 can be clearly seen, so there is no way it could be 1194 (also new to W).

Do yourself a favour and preview your post before you submit it, we all make typos from time to time. :)

The disposal list notes it was registered - it just means that after it was deregistered it was parted out rather than onsold

Love the inaccurate quote of AEC decker (rare I know) about 2590 butchered into a motor home in fact it never did and remained original the past
30 years only 2 thirds of the seats are missing but all handrails, pullcords and original govt paint remain in tact and has just returned to Sydney under its own power
so looks pretty original to me. Refer Forest Miniatures facebook page.

Well, instead of asking you which was your favorite, which did you find the least painful?
Personally, I like the Leylands with fully manual gearboxes best. :!:

The Atlantean was quite a decent bus. The rest were just universally horrible to travel in. Best left in a museum nicely painted up to look at only.

Does it follow that you are not a fan of London's beloved Routemaster, even with it's more luxurious velour moquette seating?

Everybody has their own pieces of transport history to be nostalgic about (as I do myself) and I respect that. British double deckers are not my own cup of tea, reinforced by unpleasant years of having to travel in them and observing how ineffective they were as mass transit vehicles. That's just my personal opinion and nobody else has to listen to it. I'm simply exempting myself from the claim of it being "history we all love".
