Route 127 in the list of Sydney Bus Routes originally ran from Longueville - Chatswood operated by Longueville Motor Bus Company from 1925 to 1977 when it was transferred to Lane Cove Bus Service which operated it until it was transferred to Macquarie Town Coach Lines in 1985

I think the bus is displaying 227, not 127.

129 Stanmore (later known as Petersham) Fire Station - Sydenham Peak Only this run had ceased by 1975
The fire station was always known as "Stanmore" despite being physically in Petersham. It closed in 1991.

The first digit is obscured behind the frame; while it may look like 127, there are at least two references above to the service being 227.

I am sure the name was Marrickville Bus Lines. Their coaches operated as MBL Coaches.

Also I'm sure the change from 222 to 448 was much later than 1979. Probably 1987 when other services in the area were renumbered.
