Interesting photos Leopard 071.I think you'll find that M/o 4587 is actually at Bales Penrith. It was bought to replace a TD-5 ex 1563.

These semi trailer buses reminds of the picture I saw of Rover Motors semi trailer bus a AEC Regal III with the rear rebuilt to accommodate the turntable for the trailer. The 1st picture MO-931 would be another AEC Matador Parramatta bus co had quite a few.

As many will know, I'm collecting photos of DGT/ UTA/ STA buses as many types as possible. I have gaps in the collection of pre-war buses.

From the photos above, can anyone identify the ex DGT and if so what were their DGT Fleet Numbers please.
( The rego plates dont seem to match DGT fleet numbers)

Thanks for any assistance.

Great to see photos like these excellent.
Don in NZ,

I think that photos 1 & 2 are the same vehicle, albeit photo 2 showing some modernisation to the tractor and new livery applied. (It carries m/o931 not 5431 as suggested)!

Does the White tractor actuall have a history as a Passenger Prime Mover?

I think you find ex D.G.T 1220 was sold 2/50 to Parramatta-Epping bus service Ermington then rebodied.

I knew you would contradict that. It's ex-1220 right? There's a lot more to it than the disposal list you run off to .

I would like to set the record straight regarding the registrations of the Parramatta double deck buses and their trailer buses as i photographed and recorded redgos in the period of the late 1950's up to the late 1960's. As a matter of fact the colour photo of m/o 584 is one of my photos and the reason i do not post photos on the ATDB anymore.
The double deckers operated during this period were all AEC - m/o 122 ex m/o 1533 - m/o 123 ex 1590 and came from Nevilles - m/o 276 ex m/o1497 broken up in the depot 1966 - m/o 298 ex m/o 1374 unreg. by 11/65 - m/o 584 ex 1540 - m/o 753 ex 1577 sold to Chapman and m/o 829 ex 1591.
The semi trailer shown as a White Scout Car m/o 973 is actually m/o 932 and was a Gardner powered Reo and was sold to Stanton then Johnson and the trailer portion of the bus was converted to a normal bus powered by a Chev motor.
The trailer bus at the museum has the trailer section from one of the Parramatta semi's ( m/o 352) but the White prime mover was never a bus but came from a private motor home.

If my memory serves me right, there was one more DD M/0 095 which lost it's top deck under a Parramatta railway bridge and was then rebuilt as a single decker carrying the same number plate.
I used to be allowed to collect the fares on 931 when in high school.
What make was 313

I think 313 was a REO 2LM or Gold Crown-Syd Wood C 1937. Saw it lying in a chook yard at Riverstone about 30 years ago

Would love to see ant more photos of PBC prior to Bosnjak

With reference to frphil and the 'beheaded' double decker, there was such a vehicle out on Windsor Road at McGraths Hill parked in a Service Station It was in the Castle Hill Busco livery of cream and white and was there in the late 1950- /early 1960's..........and then was gone. Prior to that , an old lowbridge double decker was on the site, complete with NEWCASTLE desto, but was scrapped there.
