Looks like the rumour of Scania decker will come true
if they are similar to the buses operated in singapore, thenits likely they are volvos?? B9TL or something??

Yes, I would prefer Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 B9TL's. They look so much better than the ADL 500's.

From the information above, the rumours about a Scania decker from Malaysia, bus similar to Singapore
So I take a guess on Scania K310UD with Gemilang body

I hv seen wikipedia , saying that body is 2.52m wide

pardon?where are your rumors coming out of? in fact ritchies never said a word about the malaysian built scanias.

there is only a little ive been able to find on the internet about the volvo b9t double deckers.but it appears to me that the models currently operated in singapore are exactly 2.5m wide so they are morelikely the buses ritchies were referring to.

Well I am just guessing. As what mentioned in Page 2 by Don
Reports to me indicate that its not only ADL that may supply Trial Double Deckers.... Scania in Malaysia has been mentioned as a possibility...
And what Andrew Ritchie say, a bus that similar to Singapore, SBS Transit does have a Scania K310UD Double decker with Gemilang body on trial.

But Don just pointed out it will be a local job, so I could think Scania K310UD chassis with Kiwibus body will be the combination.

All is confirmed for NZ Bus. Zane Fulljames confirmed it on the Transport Blog. Enviro 500s assembled by Kiwi.

Transportblog.co.nz. It has also been confirmed on the Bettertransport forum. I cannot be any more specific than that right now as im standing on the platform at Swanson at work and posting on my cellphone. I saw it there before I left for work. I assure you it is there, and is confirmed. May pay to go lpoking for it.

A 25 second search revealed this post on the Better Transport Forum::
drosophila on the CBT Forum wrote:'Zane Fulljames' from NZBus on Transportblog had this to say

Further, 2 minutes later, after simply searching for "Zane Fulljames Double Deck" on Google, I found his comment on the March AT Business Report:
Zane Fulljames on the Transport Blog wrote:Couple of points and an invitation.

We are indeed working on the introduction of Double Deckers (inclusive of Hybrid/Electrics) as we move through our Fleet replacement program. These would most likely be ADL manufactured and assembled in NZ at Kiwi. There is a nine month lead time from Order placement to being in service. At present we have 100 new ADL Enviro 200 no in service in Akl with another 136 in production with delivery phased between now and Mar 2013. This reperesents approx 30% of current fleet in Akl being replaced. (653) at an investment of circa $100m. A further 16O are pencilled in the forward plan.

For Greg N, we are NZ BUS not Stagecoach. Stagecoach were the previous owners of this business and we have since our purchase been investing heavily in Fleet, Training – Customer Service, Health and Safety, Facilities and the capability competency of our people. All things that were in a less than satisfactory state when we took control. Kind of amusing that you dont consider that we are focussed on the customer /s or growth in PT and only interested in maximising returns for our shareholders. Suggest you might want to look at our website or view the presentation I gavce recently at the Infratil Investor Day a video of which is available on the Infratil site.

Obviously in the absence of fact some will fill the vacuum with assumptions that may or may not be correct. Therefore I extend an invitation to those who are interested to meet with myself and my team to have a look at my business, understand the history from our persepective, where we are at today and what we are focussing on moving forward.

If you are interested in attending please forward your contact details to Jayne Collins my PA jayne.collins@nzbus.co.nz and I will arrange session at our new onehunga facility in the 28th March between 3.30pm-5pm. Please rsvp by 23rd March to allow Jayne to cater for the numbers given we have limited space available.

Regards
Zane
The information is there, can I suggest we start looking? It was incredibly easy to find, Google is your friend!

If the above is not proof enough, I don't know what is!
