A few pics I took at feildays this year

Used to attend the feild days most years. The car parks are always full of coaches from all over the North Island. Used to enjoy the thursday open day for farmers only.( Used to part own 200 acres in Wellington)

Yes there seems to be plenty coaches this year, however the majority of those Go Buses (japanese imports) ferring people to the airport carpark and other areas around Hamilton are terrible. I returned to the transport centre on an Isuzu. The combination of the rear rattling sliding door, hard clothed seats (size not adjusted to fit kiwi prostereas), narrow bending back roads (to avoid traffic) and poor judgement on when to break has made me realise how truly crppy these jap imports are.
I did like the ride there in an SL202.

The GoBus MAN would have been ex-CityBus in HK - CityBus's then owners, Stagecoach, would have shipped them to NZ (along with the odd Dart/Plaxton).

IIRC Stagecoach Never had any darts over in NZ. Valley flyer has alot of B6B's from Citybus

That Gobus 151 is ex-citybus Hongkong #1575,it's a 1998 MAN D2866LUH with voith DIWA851 transmission(bit wired).similar buses are shown below.bus was completely built at MAN's factory in germany

it looks Waaaaaay better in Citybus livery compaired to the Metlink Sneezed on livery.. and they now have LED destos fitted which make them (also in the purple Valley flyer livery) look even better!
