Oh! Perhaps you are looking for something like this Volvo I found north of Feilding:

I found a few of these around the Manawatu district, but this is the only one I could get to with the camera.

The Pointer body is almost the standard bus over here. You'll understand why I like Designline Smileys.

Here an ex-Hong Kong Dart working for Stagecoach in Exeter. See, we do have air-con buses here. Whether it works is another matter.

I checked the hi-res image for this, and can't see a manufacturer on it, but I do recall from the rego labels it was a Volvo. Anyway, it's too big for a Hino Rainbow as they're only a mini bus.

It's a 1991 Hino HT2M in B38D config.

Back to "Stagecoach" 266 has been taken off to the Chop Shop this morning. Ironically the anniversary (8 years ago?) of when Barry Hollis was killed by a speeding car while placing his poles back on the wire out by the Airport... His bus was 266. Thus why the trolleys now have reflective striping on the back and LED indicators. 266 could be easily distingushed from most trolleys by its "white window" on the front (209 also had this)

This is shocking news, hearing of the tragic loss of two more Volvos.  Just for that, I have found 6 pics of these buses, which were both running around Wellington when I was in town a month ago. See: viewtopic.php?f=41&t=36554

A list of volvos that are still alive:

204,207,210,213,217,218,220,223,227,229,233,234,235,238,243,244,245,248,250,251,256,258,
259,260,261,265,268

total:27 buses.

are they gonna keep at least 28 volvos for 304-330 which they called two-axle trolley buses?

Now I am really pushing the envelope on this request... :D Does anyone have a copy of the photograph taken back in the late 1990's in the Kilbirnie yard of three Volvo b58 trollies. The first was in WCT Red, second in Big Red & the third was in the Stagecoach Candy stripes... I would like to see that shot again if anyone does...

That's an absurd reason for withdrawl! We had a driver at my work here in Sydney bent a bumperr bar last week (twice on the same bus!) and naturally the bus got fixed in a few days.

ka9102, if there are only 27 Volvos left, and at least 2 are required for preservation, how can 2-axle Trollies 304-330 come into existence? :?: This would also mean that the parts from 209 and 266 would be the last to form parts for the 3-axle Trollies :?

What's the reason behind having some 3 and some 2 axle buses? Wouldn't it make more sense to have all 3 axle?
