Timetable changes: Routes 406, 411/412, 414 - May 2016

Hello,

More upcoming timetable changes, as per the PTV website.

New timetables for each route are now available to view.
Route 406 is the only timetable to have major change to it.

From 22 May 2016, minor changes are being made to routes 406, 411, 412, and 414.

Routes 411 and 412 will be rerouted via Geelong Street and Sunshine Road to improve the connection to West Footscray Station and improve punctuality by avoiding congestion on Geelong Road.

Route 414 will be rerouted around the Laverton Station area to operate in the same direction as other bus services (Route 400 and 417). An additional 8.18 pm evening weekday service will depart Laverton train station and will extend northbound along Bladin Street and terminate on the corner of Old Geelong Road and Tarran Street.

The Route 406 timetable will change to reflect typical traffic conditions at all times of the day and provide an improved connection with Footscray Station.

406 will now depart Footscray every 20 mins between 18:00 & 20:00 weeknights rather than every 25 to 30 mins but gaps between peak services have increased slightly.

The minor route changes at West Footscray and Laverton are both small but worthwhile improvements. I'd also like to see 411 and 412 travel via Railway St South in Altona. Not only would this provide a shorter walk to the station, it'd also provide a common stop for passengers travelling up Millers Rd towards Altona Gate Shopping Centre with the 903 SmartBus.
