Getting closer and closer to delivery now...

But still no confirmation on chassis/body.

There was mention in another thread of 4 Volgrens in their Malysian factory?

Thanks, I have since picked that up.

So the question remains, who is supplying them?

In the first post, a Skybus director stated they were getting them, we'll have to believe him.

So, ordered by CDC for Hillsbus but will probably get diverted to Werribee.

And now landed at Melbourne Airport...

Again with thanks from the SkyBus Facebook page.

They seem to be quite eager for it to hit the road if this caption is anything to go by....

We are full of excitement here at the Melbourne Airport depot. Our very first double decker bus has arrived! Beginning service from tomorrow, look out for our fleet hitting the road.

Kind Regards

There was a good news item on Channel 9. Apparently, the first service ran today at about 3pm. Someone more skilled than me (almost everyone in such matters) will be able to a link.

Can it get under the Dudley Street rail bridge?

They must be operating along a different route to what is used by single deck busess of recent times?

SCS to Dudley Street, to Footscray Road, onto Citylink. And reverse when coming from the airport. I think.

I've watched it turn from Dudley Street to Footscray Road/Docklands Highway the day it started revenue service.

Thanks,
Mitchul :)
