Next Tour: Sunday 6th February 2011

A Ventura Depot Triple! : Ivanhoe - Croydon - Monbulk

Pickups will be at Oakleigh Railway Station (stop 903) at 9.15am; Box Hill Transit Centre (stop 612) at 10.05am (NB changed from initial time) and at Heidelberg Railway Station (stop 903) at 10.15am. Drop offs on the way home will be arranged according to need.

For the rest, the tour will begin at 10.30am at the Ivanhoe Bus Company depot at 599 Waterdale Road. Please do not enter the depot prior to the arrival of the tour organiser (Mick Kane).

The tour will conclude at approximately 5.30pm at Oakleigh Railway Station.

This tour is free to BCSV members and includes a BBQ lunch (non members $20, u/18 $10). However, to aid catering and the provision of transport, attendees are asked to indicate their proposed attendance by pm to me by Friday 4th February 2011.

(NB. These arrangements may be subject to change, which will be notified at least a week before the tour).

Two CDs are currently available, each $20, including postage and handling.

1.The Andrew Potts Collection Volume 2

This volume of colour pictures contains almost 700 photographs from the 70s of buses in Victoria and NSW mainly featuring private operators in Melbourne and Sydney. There are also some photographs from Queensland and South Australia.

2.The Graeme Turnbull Collection Volume 1

This collection contains about 800 (mainly colour) photographs from the late 60s to the 70s. The Victorian section covers mainly private operators Melbourne and Geelong, but there is a significant MMTB selection. The selections from NSW, Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania, mainly cover government bus operators.

The scans are high resolution. Send your orders, indicating which CD or CDs you would like, with your cheque or money order, to:
