2017 Point to Pinnacle

For those wishing to photograph a large number of (Metro) buses, Sunday 19th is the running of the 2017 Point to Pinnacle event. 65 buses have to be on the mountain before 7am, before Huon Rd is closed to traffic, with the first bus generally descending about 10.30am. From there, they normally come down in batches of 6, so then is a great opportunity to photograph all vehicles involved (with a service bus thrown in the mix too)
From there, the cruise ship Maasdam arrives at 1pm, so there'll be quite a few coaches on cruise ship duties for the afternoon. A great day for bus-spotting.
If you're in the north-west of the island, cruise ship movement continues with Maasdam today and Norwegian Jewel on Monday, which will involve quite a few coaches from the NW.
