the special arrangements to service the Football game at Blundstone arena were taken up another notch on Sunday with an enhanced service over previous years.

25 vehicles provided 41 services to the game.

An additional 3 buses were brought to the game by supervisors to assist with final clearances if required. 1 was used.

The 26 departures were got away very smartly this year and without any of the punters having to wait for vehicles to return for a 2nd trip resulting in the crowds being cleared in a credible 30 minutes.

Enhanced attention from traffic controllers assisted departed buses but there still seems to be opportunity to get the drivers to understand/follow the published departure routes. A couple of O"Driscoll buses missed the published left turn and then got directed right by police resulting in about 5km being added to their trip.

Also just wanted to add the WIsbys fleet of Artics which graced the football run for the first time on the North Melb vs Rich Friday night game at Blundstone.
