Postby lunchbox » Thu Feb 25, 2016 7:30 pm

I borrowed it from a library decades ago - it's pretty thick - but I can't remember the author's name - can anybody help?

See http://www.astrolabebooks.com.au/?page= ... ct_id=4518 for A History of Trains and Trams in Tasmania

Published in 1987

I then found in there ***By the author of Railroading in Tasmania (1961
Living in the Shire.

That last wasn't exactly a reliable publication.

Thank you both. The book I'm referring to I last used in ~1966. Cooley doesn't sound right. I'm still keen to hear other suggestions for the author's name.
Update - For the record, it seems I may have even got the title wrong. I find that the Mitchell Library (Sydney) has a copy of "Railroading in Tasmania" by Thomas Cooley, which may well be the book I'm looking for.

I have Cooley's "Railroading in Tasmania" courtesy Sydney's Mitchell Library. Thank you all.
