Darwinbus to be privatised

Post by Bidgee »

Interesting times ahead, though Buslink already operate part of the Darwinbus network. Will be interesting as to who will be the new operator.

That's a list of people who have downloaded the documents, not who have submitted tenders.
Suppliers etc obviously have interest in this, but wouldn't submit tenders.

Transit graphics have reported this morning on their Facebook page that Transit Systems has won the contract.

Nothing as yet on the NT government website which has nothing beyond the 6th December last year advice.

It seems somewhat surprising to come from Transitgraphics.

LOL at the list of "tenderors", which I note includes an accounting firm, along with the TWU!!

The mind truly boggles at the thought of the TWU running a bus service.... they struggle to run a union!

When exactly this month did Territory Transit start operations? The Territory Transit webpage already has a photo of its first day of operations. http://www.transitsystems.com.au/territory-transit

The website tends to contradict itself as it still says "Territory Transit will commence operating the Darwin bus contract in October 2014. "

Hi All
I noticed Monday That the Darwin Bus service busses were branded with Territory Transit.
Note that Darwin bus is the system name which was operated by Darwin bus service(NT Government) and buslink.
