Australian Mega Movers
Show on FoxTels A&E channel ran a show called Australian Mega Movers, this episode showed 2 of Tas Rail's ex QLD national 21 Class being delivered to Devonport from Brisbane. Interesting doco showed the problems that occured while delivering these 2 loco's to TasRail at Devonpotr. Show re runs again this Saturday if any of you have FoxTel and worth a look, some great rigs featured .And Neil, one of the prime movers on the Tassie Job was VOLVO FH 16, 660HP

That's the REAL reason you mentioned it You would have been shattered last Sunday travelling in a MERCEDES to Seymour instead of the Volvostevegj52 wrote: .And Neil, one of the prime movers on the Tassie Job was VOLVO FH 16, 660HP

Re: Australian Mega Movers
It was a interesting show Damien, the guy who owns the Haulage company has a large fleet mostly Kenworths and employe's 2 detailers full time to keep the fleet looking like new and won't let a truck out unless it is spottless. He also enters his rigs in truck show's and dose well out of them. The trucks with the loco's just made to the boat for Tasssie only to find no papper work was done so it was a close call. Must have cost TasRail a fortune going on how much Diesel they went through, thought would have been cheaper to send the Loco's by ship ex Brissy.
