If it's the one I'm thinking of, it can be seen from the Bass Hwy between Devonport & Ulverstone

This is the Maxwell's AEC Reliance which is still parked at Lillico. This phot taken in 2005, does anyone have the original identity of the bus?

Off previous posts (& off re-collection) it was ex Greyhound MANY MANY years ago. (I stand corrected though if I'm wrong)

Yes it was Greyhound, what might not be obvious is that it is underfloor engined, not a rear engine conversion, airscoops were the fashion for a time.

Here she is new. Yes it would be good if someone saved her? The last one of five built to survive in one piece.

That photo of Maxwell's AEC in Greyhound livery confirmed my thoughts on the preservationality of this vehicle. Restored to Greyhound colours, it would look quite inspiring chugging up the highway. A rally of this together with Redline's under restoration Flxible Clipper and the TTMS's AEC's would be a fine sight!

As per previous posts, this bus IS NOW being preserved by the TB&CS, after being donated to the Society by Dennis Maxwell. It will be preserved however in "MAXWELL's" livery rather than Greyhound. It has been covered to protect it from further erosion, however we are still looking for a location in Hobart to SECURE the vehicle which would also enable us to start preservation (although this is hopefully close, after a meeting with another organisation last week)

Has that organisation been sent a full written proposal yet? Think they may be expecting one before pregressing anything.
