On September 27th 1999 CGEA/Connex the Transport arm of what was then Known as Vivendi Environnement (now known as Veolia Environnement or Transdev for the Transport arm) first entered the public transport market In Sydney with the buyout and takeover of Deanes Coaches (South) on this day 20 years ago

Technically, CGEA entered the public transport market in Sydney in August 1998, when they purchased TNT Transit Systems, operator of the light rail and owner of the monorail, as part of a joint venture with Sydney Light Rail Company. Unless, the light rail back then is not counted as "public" transport.
Lives in Region 1, loves buses in Western Sydney.
