Scanned copy (no soft copy) of the map from the leaflet about changes handed out around Mascot the past week.

It seems 962 will continue to be diverted on Saturday nights.thunderbird wrote:Looks like tonight will be the last night of late night services on the combined 961/962. Even on weekdays the late service has been canned. I’m guessing low patronage but does anyone in the know know more?
Seems a backward step to me reducing operational hours, 9:30pm for a last service is pretty weak.

Re: Timetable Changes (2 Dec 2018)
Yes you're right. The 1:15am and 2:20am services have been shafted but on Friday and Saturday nights. As well as the 10:53pm service on all weeknights.
I think that's a disappointing move for public transport operating hours, mainly the last service now leaving for Bangor and Menai at 9:30pm instead of 10:53pm, but I guess patronage didn't warrant it anymore.

Re: Timetable Changes (2 Dec 2018)
I see that m20, 392 and 420 don't appear on the map. Just because they haven't changed shouldn't be a reason not to include. From comments on FB, it is obvious locals are confused about the new services and omitting key routes doesn't help things.marcnut1996 wrote:Scanned copy (no soft copy) of the map from the leaflet about changes handed out around Mascot the past week.

Very easy to see it was clearly done by STA hence omitting changes such as the 308 & 305 which are Transit Systems.boronia wrote:I see that m20, 392 and 420 don't appear on the map. The 309 & 304 are listed as high frequency routes but the 400 isn't which is higher frequency than those two routes between Eastgardens & BJI.
Re: Timetable Changes (2 Dec 2018)
Geez, that's even worse than I expected!
I thought the 309X would basically be the same as the 309 service now, but skipping stops between Green Square and Railway Square...but now I find that it's totally skipping the urban area of Hillsdale and Matraville? What a bloody joke. It'll be the car for me from now on.

Eastgardens to Kingsford is a 1-2 section fare.

309X follows the route of L09 and extends to railway square.mubd wrote:Geez, that's even worse than I expected!

It’s actually very easy to see and assume incorrectly...Frosty wrote:

Re: Timetable Changes (2 Dec 2018)
Previously, there were rumours that some Region 6 bus routes will be through routed to reduce layover in the city. Is the strategy now changed to creating loop services?
Are there more candidates for next round of changes? I think 431 is a good candidate to loop via Central like 308.

Re: Timetable Changes (2 Dec 2018)
The 308 is outside the scope of these changes, so not surprising it is not included. The 305 is a limited niche service, so again not really missed.Frosty wrote:

.
But leaving the 392 off seems a big mistake.

Re: Timetable Changes (2 Dec 2018)
In reference to an earlier post stating that M41 would be operated from Kingsgrove then - I wished myself it were true, M41 is unique in being a "basic" bus route that has fixed single type of bus (red B21BLE), gets old quickly.rogf24 wrote:What were you expecting?

Runs are split between Burwood and Kingsgrove. Burwood still operate the large majority.
Re: Timetable Changes (2 Dec 2018)
More likely just a few runs in the early morning commencing Hurstville and a few later in the afternoon that end at Hurstville?Daniel wrote:Runs are split between Burwood and Kingsgrove. Burwood still operate the large majority.
Re: Timetable Changes (2 Dec 2018)
^ Kingsgrove Depot have 4 x shifts with 2 x trips each regarding the m41. The trips are spread out across the day.

Re: Timetable Changes (2 Dec 2018)
Some new STA things to note...
- Y now operates a 610e from Central in the AM peak
- M now operate a 246 in the AM peak
- V now operate several L90's
- N now operate a 253 in the PM peak
- V also now operate a single E88 in the PM peak
Additionally, measures have been implemented at W to reduce/eliminate sightings of Bondi-Link buses on routes other than 333's and 333N's...

Yes. Central to Sydney Boys/Girls High Schools. STA & TS R6 School Services have a 3-digit number followed by a letter for the region (e for east in this case).Ray wrote:610E?? is that a school service?
