Hills bus have a new depot at camellia what is the purpose of this depot and what routes will it operate

i belive for when the train line closes, also belive for rail buses only and the work is shared between CDC and Transdev

So Northmead is not closing then?
And I assume you’re referring to the ECRL closure or the Carlingford Line closure? Surely the Carlingford line requires no more than a max of 3 buses, not a whole depot haha

It is a joint venture depot for Hillsbus and Transdev. It will house the Station Link buses for the Epping to Chatswood closure.

was this the same depot that sydney buses looked at getting for its parramatta depot when they took over north & western in 2000.

The depot is to be located at 37A Grand Ave, Camellia. This site is right at the eastern end of Grand Avenue. The site was in use as a container depot some years ago. It's site subject to water issues (flooding) as per warning signs on the entry gates.
