What was the Charter 427 about yesterday?

Post by Newcastle Flyer »

Would anyone know what the CHARTER with the former "industrial" route 427 displayed was yesterday at night?

A lazy driver running special before/after a 342 service?

One of the quirks of desto controllers. Changing code 3427 to 7427 brings up CHARTER 427

Quite a common procedure in Sydney, although frowned upon by management.

Their is no Route 342. This was along a 70kmh road in a Newcastle suburb.

Then I wouldn't get too concerned about any destination displayed on a bus, Drivers do get "adventurous" when it comes to displays. Used to be a driver in Sydney who regularly ran around special with NEWCASTLE EXPRESS 350 showing

Perhaps it might really have been a charter, bus companies do operate them from time to time; in STA procedures they are supposed to display an assigned number like that.
