The exit stairs are gone now: The platform stairs have also gone, but after some of the hoardings came down it seems new west facing stairs will be provided from the paid area of the concourse.

The weekdays Service due to arrive Richmond at 0751 hours (Run 172B), and depart Richmond at 0756 (Run 172C), should also be running as a 8T set in place of a 8A set.

These changes are due to the re-modelling of Hornsby Up Yard. This includes the Up Loop, No.1 Up Siding, along with the normal entry/exit roads to/from Hornsby Maintenance Centre. From 10pm Monday 18 to 2am Monday 25 September, Central Coast and Newcastle Line and Hunter Line train services will start and end at Broadmeadow station while Hamilton Station is temporarily closed.

Shuttle buses will run to and from Broadmeadow to Hamilton, Wickham, Queens Wharf, Civic and Newcastle. The train replacement buses will run according to a changed timetable and you should allow for additional travel time.

If you are connecting to or from the Hunter and Central Coast and Newcastle Line then you should change at Broadmeadow.

Caught one from Parramatta to city on Sunday afternoon. It was only a couple of minutes behind a T1 service - guess which one was packed and which one left near empty? It pays to check the departure boards on the platform.

Two waratahs joined up outside Blacktown station on the penrith line is this normal?

I was on the 8:17 am Train from Hamilton that goes to Muswellbrook, it's a limited stops train (Doesn't stop at East Maitland or High Street when it's on limited stops) but it stopped at East Maitland & High St Station this morning. Looking at the Timetables for the hunter line, nothing has changed with the timetable?

My only guess is it was covering for another train that doesn't do limited stops but I don't know if that was the case. My train was definitely on time & not running late. Not too sure what the go was this morning & there was no announcement over the train speaker made about it which is odd, the internal desto went blank for the two stops (both East Maitland & High street) & came back on when it got to Maitland but the automated announcer did say "This train will stop at.. East Maitland".

Maybe you folks know why this happened. It's sure puzzling me.

I was on C4 this morning at about 9:15 and after leaving Erskineville the train suddenly stopped, together with a Waratah passing on the opposite track and a Tangara coming out of the tunnel. All the signals were still set to full clear and all the trips were down. Everything started moving again a few minutes later. Anyone know what happened?

Were they joined up and traveling? If yes, then no, only happens if one has failed.

If stationary and In the loop on the Doonside side of Blacktown platform 3, probably just parked very close to each other

A few M sets running up to Gordon early this morning

It was good to some variety on the North Shore as mentioned also a few Tangara's though bit unusual saw a K set going around the City Circle on a Sunday substituting for an M set.

Yes they ran to Gordon but due to a change of run number at central the indicator boards didn't indicate this.

They were marked as yellow T1 all stations between Ashfield and Central.

Correct, the system picks up Ashfield to Central as T1. Interesting the indicator only showed as far as Central. Did you see this with only one train or multiple trains?
