Busways have got an employee at Mt Druitt interchange handing out cold bottles of water to drivers, i wonder if other companies are doing the same?

Spotted at Iveco Arndell Park yesterday was unregistered Red Bus new 2 door unit Express body with fleet number 59 (TNSW colours); and also glimpse in between vehicles of another Express bodied TNSW livery vehicle with 2699 on rear panels - operator couldn't be identified but rego appears close to Red Bus series.

Afternoon Centralian,
Great to catch up yesterday.Discussing current movements at Red Bus with Ray yesterday,he said there was several new Express bodied IVECO's waiting delivery including new unit no:59.

This also matches up with three K92's listed for sale last week.

Interesting also that Red Bus had purchased three Higer Roadbosses second hand from Bechtel in Queensland for charter operations but disappointingly, will remain in all-white livery with Red Bus signage applied only.

I posted it in the Transdev fleet changes - I felt sure I was right but I am open to correction.

I spotted what looks like some type of fire suppression system on Interline Volvo B12BLE Bustech VST m/o 9069 as I caught it on a 865 between Lurnea and Liverpool about 47 minutes ago

I was correct - there is such a vehicle with Transdev but a bus and not a coach. It is now documented in the Transdev fleet changes.

I Swear I've seen something like that on a Brisbane City Counsel bus before a long time ago, think on their Scania's what I can't recall tho is if it was an Fire alarm call point or a fire suppression box like the one in your picture but I do recall a break glass fire alarm system of some sort being on there.

Spotted CDC Hunter Valley buses (Thornton) Mercede-Benz 0405NH Custom coaches 550 / 7601MO today in an Transport for New south Wales Livery. Looks like the bus has finally been given the NSW Livery, previously it was in canary yellow. Don't know when the Re-paint was done on it through but it as to be recent as last time I saw it, it was still in canary yellow. I'll see if I can follow up on a photo of the repaint.

Pegasus
9889 AO Mercedes-Benz O500RF-3 WEB63420121000030 Mills-Tui "Valerie" PCAAT0183 2/05 C49DT
ex C46DT; ex TV 8374 12/8/15; Reg 4/6/15 ex Stonestreet's Coaches, Toowoomba, QLD 'Botany 2' 277 RUT (traded to Iveco by 5/14); ex AAT Kings Coach Company Pty Ltd, Botany (10A) TV 008 by 3/13; ex XCB 578 (SA).
I travelled on this for the last couple of days.
It has all Pegasus signwriting and livery removed except for the Pegasus on the windscreen - even the phone numbers have been removed off the back. It now carries black stripes on the side.
I was told by the driver that it was about to be put up for sale when some coaches bought from WA arrive.

Compare with photo I took in October 2015 - by coincidence both times on a trip to Canberra.

I'm assuming that means that Pegasus are probably buying some of the ex TransWA Volgren coaches.

From the fleetlists I see that Telfords have purchased a pair of new Merc 0500LEs with CB80 bodies.

It says that they are both ex Mercedes stock .... one with a body date of 2013, the other with 2011 ...ehhh??

They were listed as ex stock rather than demos or trade-ins.

I'm assuming that means they were sold as new units.

If so, why would Merc be sitting on them for four and six years respectively??

Just to clarify four units were acquired, three Custom and one Volgren. One Custom and the Volgren were previously used as demos. The two other Customs have not previously been recorded but may well have been used as demos somewhere. Obviously Mercedes wanted too much for the stock if it is taken this long to sell or no one was interested.

I believe Mercedes were forced to body a lot of Euro 4 chassis stock during 2011-2013 around the time of the Euro 5 regulation coming into force and many units still have not found owners yet.
