Evening Fleetlists,
Pretty sure it is a Tiger. Will do some checking through family connections with Sione Fangia to check what exactly this vehicle is and report back.It well may be the one he purchased to export to Tonga for use on the Tupou College contract.

They are still a subbie to Busways as part of Outer Metro Bus Contract Region 6. The operate some 78 and 98 trips on weekdays and Saturdays, whilst they operate some 80 and 91 trips on Sundays and continue to operate their own weekday routes 10-13.
Enjoy.

Busways also operate some the weekday route 11 services so they are not only operated by Coastal Liner. I believe routes 10. 12 and 13 are Coastal Liner school bus routes which are not part of Outer Metro Bus Contract Region 6.

I don't know about that as the 10, 12 and 13 all run on school holidays, they appear in the Region Guide and have their own paper timetable (shared with the 11) which would be odd for a school route.

Fleet Lists wrote:Coastal Liner is a bit of a mystery at the moment as the latest printed timetables do NOT make any mention of them but from experience before the latest timetables it appears that they can pop up on any of the routes around the Wyong area. At least your post confirms that that is still so.

My understanding is that Coastaliner are allocated route service shifts that matched to the number of route service shifts operated pre the present contracts.Plus of course their pre existing school routes.

True but at a most reduced level and that printed timetable is now out of date as I believe a new one has not been issued in line with the Busways new 20/10 timetables which includes a new one one for route 11.

Thank you for that - I have actually found it on the Busways website as well and it shows the operator as Coastal Liner - Interesting that Busways have it on their website but in the Coastal Liner website in two places the link to route 11 does not work and in a third place it still links to the old timetable.

Busways seem to handle that kind of stuff for Coastal Liner because when I sent a timetable request through 131000 that timetable and the previous one both came from Busways head office at Pymble.

I noticed that the passengers were indifferent about the presence of the Busways bus, as long as the bus displayed the correct desto for their intended route.

Fresh Punchbowl TNSW repaint m/o 4344 spotted this afternoon with some decent roofline damage on the rear top LHS corner - perhaps it didn't like it's new identity - ah well, back to body repairs and touch up.
