Fair point. I don't think the M branding will go away anytime soon though, even if the T is brought up to its quality.

If the repaint takes too long then just wait 15 to 18 yeas for whatever number of unpainted TNSW contracted buses delivered between 2006 and 2010 left in service to be withdrawn from service that is only if the government ramps up the repainting process so all contracted buses in all 15 metropolitan regions are repainted blue and white by 2025

The contracts for the bus wayfinding were awarded a couple of months ago. Looks like Newcastle will get it first

This one's a pretty misleading sign. Which bus in the westerly direction along Falcon St Crows Nest, goes to the City or Milsons Point, unless this is alluding to route changes we don't know about??

It should be on the timetable list on that bus stop

Sadly the only three routes (143, 144, 257) that stop there all end up turning right at Pacific Highway and heading north instead of south.

There are also a number of school routes which stop there and heading in various directions.

Noticed today that the relatively new hop-branded bus stops in the Dolls Point/Sandringham/Sans Souci area have a route error. It states that route 478 goes to Ramsgate and Miranda, however at all these stops buses have come from Ramsgate on their way to Miranda, and route 478s going to Ramsgate depart from stops on the opposite side of the road. Not a good look.

^ seems to be a generic approach to the text that is displayed, 'Ramsgate' should not be displayed on any bus stops after Ramsgate.

It's going to be a poorly executed rollout with errors everywhere. Im looking forward to seeing how stupid we can get...

Newcastle and North Shore (Regions 8, 12 and 14) are theoretically all supposed to be finished first as far as I can tell. Some stops will get the new style blades, whilst reusable J poles will apparently just be refurbished into the new style.

Are these errors being reported to Transport for NSW?

Haven't seen a blank generic bus stop sign before, without stop number, name or route(s)

Seven years on & this expensive & pointless rebranding exercise still hasn't been completed. Unbelievable!

I think they're just slowly replacing the stops as needed, as opposed to a widespread rollout.

Taren Point, used by route 478. The old J-pole was damaged during roadworks ages ago, and this popped up sometime recently (only saw it today)

Replacing signs on an "as needed" basis seems more responsible than spending money on a mass changeover. A bus stop is a bus stop whatever the colour of the sign.

Yeah but they never get changed over in time before another branding change.

I noticed a whole lot of new bus stop signs on the 600 from Hornsby towards Pennant Hills. Pretty sure they weren't there last week.

Wow! What an interesting sight. I suppose this would most likely not happen any further east. :)
Great catch. :)

Another observation of 'interesting' destination signage at bus stops. The Rockdale Plaza stop specifically lists "Miranda or Rockdale" for route 477, but only lists "Rockdale" for 476 and not Dolls Point. I assume it is because the 476 is technically a loop, but other timetables list Dolls Point as a 476 destination, and afternoon peak short workings terminate at Dolls Point. Not to mention that route 479, also a loop, doesn't list Rockdale as a destination!?

As a further aside, the route map on the timetable (probably can't read on the quality of the photo) for some reason has '478' labelled as terminating at Miranda, despite the fact route 478 isn't mapped anywhere else in the diagram nor ever operates via Rockdale Plaza. A comedy of errors here...

Have they only done stand A the Transit Systems stop at Rockdale Plaza or has the stop for Transdev routes 455 and 958 at that location witch would be stand B also been done
