Hillsbus Dural's 1055 now in TfNSW livery.... Ugly numbering on the Bumper Bar, it's also like 1094. Though i have a feeling 1055 is also now at Seven Hills. Keep Posted.

Extra CDC buses were growth buses for the 2014/2015 Financial Year. The delivery is not really related to rushing before the end of the financial year as such, but more so because it takes 10 months plus from when TfNSW inform operators of growth buses after their June/July (2014) budget to delivery of said vehicles. I expect the same next year following this years state budget.

Great!! I have always liked those buses in the TNSW livery. Good to hear canary yellow being phased out of some.
It would be neat if a batch of them cascaded to Busways Central Coast operations someday.

They can't do that-TfNSW leasing rules. Once a bus is delivered to a region, it stays in that region until its final retirement 25 years after entry into service.
(Unless Busways gets permission off TfNSW to transfer a bus to another region of course...)

If Busways wanted to do so, they could easily swap a contract bus on the Central Coast for a Region 1 contract bus but they want to leave the Volgren's in Region 1 so that if they loose the contract later they don't get left with a few Volgren on the Central Coast.

Really? Not what I understood. Each bus is written into an area's contract, so there would be a fair bit of paperwork and approvals to move a bus surely?

My guess is the Volvos will never leave Glendenning, as it means only one depot needs adblue facilities - unless new bus purchases need adblue. As for the Scania Volgrens, would there be anything to gain with swapping them between regions? Doubtful. They'd be swapping low floors of similar age, so no point.

Looks like Busways will continue to shuffle around older stuff like their classic Benz 0405s (Kincumber depot has loads of them now) but as for acquisitions from defunct contract operators, the rule seems they will be fixed to their current depots for life. That's a shame if that is the case. The Volgren B7RLEs in TNSW livery are a really smart lookin bus.
It looks to me like Busways still do some shuffling with their Scania CC K230UB and MAN 18.310/18.320 buses. I notice less of some and more of others as time goes on in Woy Woy.
With the sluggish pace of TNSW repaints (and the many cases of depots choosing to repaint into their own scheme, including STA!!), there is fat chance of seeing any of their numerous 0405 fleet get such treatment, especially when any one of them could get further cascaded to their North Coast operations any time.

The reason is explained above - contract buses are more difficult to move while older pre contract (2007) buses which are owned, can be moved as they want to. And they wont paint them into TNSW livery if they go to the North Coast as it is not covered by that livery.
