Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery

I've seen it a few times in the last 2 weeks on Anzac Rd at Tuggerah on a St Peters school bus. The fleet number at the front sides are above the window line, and the rear ones bellow the windows. I must agree that the NSW logo is in an odd place, I think it would look much better in the centre. I can't wait to see more of the coast's buses in this livery

Another week has gone past with a further additional 3 for STA - getting up exactly up to 5%. As we have now been going for about 9 months, at this rate it will take 15 years to get them all done. Of course we need to aloow for Metrobuses, ect which I have not done in the calculations.

Would anyone care to hazard a guess as to when the TNSW livery numbers will overtake the Metro total?

Forgive me for being such a n00b at this,

so the TNSW livery will be on all of the buses mentioned including the bendy's?

I haven't seen the livery on a bendy yet...anyone got pics?

Generally, yes. The livery is to be eventually on all new and refurbished contract buses. This includes artics. See here for a recent photo or two of bendies in the livery: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=64595

Things are always fairly slow around the Christmas/New Year period. I expect things to start getting a little busier now.

Yes, as above there are 2 more to be delivered. Also there are more Mercedes Volgren route buses, details yet to be confirmed.

Are any new ones at Mona Vale or Brookvale depots? I'm still yet to see a TNSW further north than Mosman.

I don't expect any soon considering the Kingsgrove B12s are due to move to the northern beaches as their new TNSW Scanias arrive.

I have seen buses operated by private owners with the sign attached "operated on behalf of NSW Transport" or something similar. Does this mean the NSW taxpayers have stumped up for these buses?

Yes but keepin mind that all fares collected on private buses go to the government who pay the operators for the routes they operate as well as supply some of the buses.

i would imagine these would be doing school buses?

Yes. They are owned by the Government and contracted to service regions.
