Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery

Previously we have had sticky's for certain livery summaries.

This generally takes a lot of manual maintenance in addition to the updating of the fleet lists so instead of that a script has been produced which extracts the information from the fleet lists.

At this stage is still very rough. The operator name still needs to be expanded but that will come. And some other improvements will also still need to be made.

Here is a link to the script which does the job are after many revisions http://fleetlists.busaustralia.com/lour ... port%20NSW

The full operator name is now shown.

Sydney Buses are now processed by fleet number instead of registration and where there is a range at the same depot, it is shown as such a range and not all individual fleet numbers are shown.

The presentation still needs to be improved currently information for a range can be split over more than one line. I still need to fix that.

That did not take as long as I thought it would - the ranges for the STA are now shown 5 per line in table format.

Thanks for doing that FL.

What is the betting that Forest will be among the last to get any vehicles in the new livery?

No Premier Illawarra buses in the Transport NSW Livery yet either.

The total number has not changed yet from 138 but Sydney Buses 2348 - 2356 now all show North Sydney - previously one in the middle of the range did not have a depot.

Instead of using the default Times New Roman font, it has now been changed to Arial with a slightly smaller font in the STA table than in the rest of the report.

Well true, I guess I'm referring to buses actually in service. I'd probably prefer the list to capture buses 'active' but it's not really a big issue. In theory, I could add at least 4 buses for Premier and 3 for Busabout etc but I'll wait till they materalise, which is very shortly.

Busways is now also listed by fleet number and range similar to STA

This format can only be used where the fleet list concerned uses fleet numbers so that fleets like CDC can not be shown in ranges.

Shorelink and Veolia can also be shown that way by fleet number and range but currently there is a problem in the code that it can only be used if the operator is the last list in the database and neither of them are - so it wont work without some changes to the code.

I have solved that problem and now Shorelink and Veolia are also listed by fleet number range similar to Busways and STA.

The script is not clever enough to automatically determine which operators are to be listed like that so that if any others come along the script will need to be told about them before it will work..

Six more to come from Veolia which should take it from 142 to 148.

I have it on good authority that 9848 will be the first bus from Foundry Rd to be repainted, and also the first 14.5 Scania.

That was the one that had the big hit, wasn't it? I know a tag down there was involved in an accident that left considerable damage.

Just to keep historic track of how it is going, it looks as though we are going to finish up this week with a total of 149 made up of:-
Blue Mountains 1 0.67%
Hawkesbury 2 1.34%
Punchbowl 1 0.67%
Shorelink 5 3.36%
Veolia 10 6.71%
CDC 8 5.37%
Busways 17 11.41%
STA 105 70.47%
Total 149 100.00%

I am keeping this in an excel file which I plan to update as we go and post it here perhaps once a week or so.

Add 7387 and 7493 to the list. I'll tip 7714 & 7513 to be done next. Which rids the westbus livery at Dural, leaving GBC, CDC & TNSW - a reduction of some sort...
