Exactly right. Plus a reasonable amount to come shortly for STA and then Busabout.

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
With most of the buses in Region 15 built 2009 and later being some type of MAN chassis with a Bustech VST body I know the body of the next batch of new buses for Busabout will most likely be the Bustech VST but I would be suprised if the chassis of the buses are anything other than the MAN 19.320 HOCL-R-NLDaniel wrote:Exactly right. Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
So looking through CDC's fleetlists I've come across 8121 MO from Morisset and apparently it changed from Morriset livery on 27/08/2016 to Transport NSW Livery. Only for it in the last month (17/02/2018) to go back to the old Morriset livery from the Transport NSW one.
https://fleetlists.busaustralia.com/ind ... DC&busreq=
How common is it for buses to get Transport NSW Livery only later to go back to their old pre-transport NSW livery? I'm guessing 8121 MO isn't under Transport NSW operations anymore unless the data is an error?
Even more surprising is that it goes back to the Morriset livery instead of CDC's canary yellow livery.

Just wondering if there is a stipulation in the Region 6 contract for repaints like PBC or if they are not similar in that respect.

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
I have not run a summary since March last year but when I tried to run one today the figures are crazy with over 8000 buses in TNSW livery with every bus in every country fleet included.

No doubt scripting problems which have popped up all over the fleetlists since measures were implemented to update the server PHP version. We are attempting to progressively correct these.

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
TSA's takeover of region six will give a small boost I'd imagine, if the sight of ex red metrobus Euro 3 Volvo B12BLEA 1668 is anything to go by.

^ Region 6 former metrobus 2253 as well.
Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Or did I also see 2252 tonight as well sporting no advertisements? (I could be mistaken!)Stu wrote:^ Region 6 former metrobus 2253 as well.
Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Seeing transperth buses in their livery (I just came back from Perth) seemed to influence things here.... I'm sure in time, most of the buses will be in NSW livery just like perth buses.

Will a few Metrobus es get repainted now all the routes are getting numbers again?

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Every mainland state and the ACT have a universal livery issued by the transport agency of the state or territory so buses in Perth are in the green and silver PTA/Transperth livery and buses here in Sydney are in the blue and white TNSW liveryGazzaOak wrote:Seeing transperth buses in their livery (I just came back from Perth) seemed to influence things here.... Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
I personally am not an advocate of metallics for buses, unless they are a premium or commemorative livery (something Sydney's STA pulled off really well in the 1990s -their proudest period), but Perth's silver and green really shows up the rest of Australia by avoiding white and they really make the modern bodies look classy.

One would expect so, especially Hills bus since since both their M routes are being renumbered,Stonesourscotty wrote:Will a few Metrobus es get repainted now all the routes are getting numbers again?

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
I noted a few Metrobuses in the Sta fleet have had the word Metrobus removed from them this was the stock for the 340
Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Debranded maybe, but only likely to be repainted as and when they fall due. The correlation between Metrobus liveried buses and Metrobus routes disappeared long ago.Stonesourscotty wrote:Will a few Metrobuses get repainted now all the routes are getting numbers again?

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
TSA have been the most conscientious in applying the TNSW livery. It's as though they consider it their own.

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Probably because TSA does not have its own livery in every bus operation they have in Australia or overseas. So TfNSW livery is the only livery they can use to be distinct from previous operators of the vehicles.

Punchbowl Bus Co has beaten them by a long way. m/o 809 is the only Red and cream bus seen on route service for a few years now.Swift wrote:TSA have been the most conscientious in applying the TNSW livery. It's as though they consider it their own.

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Having a look at the Transit Systems Fleet List, 431 out of 861 - virtually dead on 50% in Transport for NSW livery - and most of those either new or acquired ex Brisbane Transport - far from a concentrated effort to repaint as far as I can see.

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Inheriting an ex STA region doesn't help.
They were doing well in region three at any rate.
I'm surprised to see a traditional like Punchbowl being so keen on erasing their colours. It seems they grabbed the bull by the horns and accepted a changing world in contrast to a bus dynasty in the far north who wanted to alter the prescribed livery.

Re: Summary of Buses in Transport NSW livery
Who says they were keen? I'm pretty sure it was mentioned it was part of the contract requirements when the last tender occurred as was one of requirements where their fleet had to be in the livery by a certain time for them specifically to continue running their region.Swift wrote:Inheriting an ex STA region doesn't help.
