sydney maritime tower!

what "GOOSE" deceided that this tower at "MILLERS POINT" has to be pulled down.Just shown on t.v news the views are terrific why not open it to the public????? tourists would love it. trouble with SYDNEY like BRISBANE anything old has to be pulled down! :shock: :roll: :oops: :evil:

Usual excuse "not viable financially". Too costly to maintain for the small income they could get for it.

More likely Mr Mariah Carey thinks it might spoil the views from his tower.

news report stated that its going to be pulled down starting from next month & take 9 months! its now considered a eyesore for mr PACKERS bangeroo site!

It should be marketed as Sydney Tower mini and and the admission priced accordingly.

It's tiny. Accessibility is hopeless with narrow stairs not allowing two people to pass at once. No lift for goods or the disabled. Let's not even mention fire evacuation risk if it was to be used as a restaurant. It has served its purpose, time to let it go.

I'm surprised they don't use it to act as a big brother watch tower to monitor any breach of the numerous rules and restrictions they brought in for this new park.

It probably wasn't, but persisted as long as possible as an existing use. Certainly not viable to be re-purposed as all of those issues must be addressed which make it an extremely challenging proposition.
