Re: What makes you happy today?
Hearing the chorus of frogs in our back yard for the last few weeks after the rains. Had been quiet for a few years before that.
Think for yourself, while it's still legal !

Re: What makes you happy today?
Years ago during a long downpour, I heard this loud noise like a guy screaming in pain. Upon investigation it turned out to be this lime green tree frog clinging to a shrub out in the yard. It never tried to get away from me and when I put my hand over it climbed on to it. It was about the size I'd a small mouse and had red eyes from memory.
After holding it and examining closely for a minute I let it climb back where I found it. I have never heard it seen one like it since.

Giving people assistance with directions while using public transport and not getting abused, two people were very grateful for my assistance, I even went as far as accompanying them right into the platform after alighting the bus as they were unsure where the trains go.

The way this embarrassing toilet paper buy up had taken off. It exposes how sheep like the Australian people are these days.

Re: What makes you happy today?
Went for a lunchtime visit to Coles near work, the shelves that usually hold many many packets of toilet rolls are empty, also boxes of tissues are gone, razors, packets of cold pills, cough medicine and Vicks Vaporub are in short supply.

Coles and ALDI jumping on board with the TP limit, just a shame both stores were already out of stock alongside woolworths.

Re: What makes you happy today?
The nags were from Windows 7 not being licensed and I never got around to doing it and since it was such an old laptop I didn't see the point of purchasing a license for it, I instead just sat out the annoying nags of "Windows is unlicensed" until last night.

Re: What makes you happy today?
Went for a bush walk to a few of the waterfalls around Katoomba / Leura in the last few days. They're at their peak with water flow and are amazing sights - and no tourists.
Also no tourists in Leura - I've suggested a flag be hung at the entrance to show locals have reclaimed the village, with no blood shed.
I haven't had to blow my horn for weeks now at people posing for selfies in the middle of the road etc. Sometimes I blow it at no one, just for nostalgia.
The not so good is I haven't seen a coach up here for weeks and weeks. Suffering from bus photography withdrawal.

I've always despised masses of selfish tourists. In happy to hear if this silver lining. I quite like this fortress Australia. Keep the foreigners out. Bruce Ruxton approved.

While being home a bit more lately, seeing some episodes of Judge Judy, she really kicks people's bums, the Americans would sue someone for killing a fly.

Re: What makes you happy today?
Finally after many weeks of seeing the empty shelves, I saw toilet paper again today, normally in any other timeline this wouldn't be a big deal to myself but it's almost been since this time last month since I last saw toilet paper on the shelves. There was no one hording it (even tho there's limits), no one rushing for it, just sitting there waiting to be picked up as if it was any other normal day of the year.
Still no hand sanitizer but hopefully they make a return to shelves in a couple of weeks.

1. Any morning where the temperature is in single digits makes me feel very well, as opposed it seems to the majority of Aus.

That today is a special day for Australia, but unfortunately the event has had to be postponed.

Re: What makes you happy today?
Hearing the refrain of a song on the radio perfect for the times. I'd forgotten about this one.
Police - 'Don't Stand So Close To Me' .
Makes me want to start singing it at the next queue I'm caught in.
I'd put a link up but probably copyright issues.
