Re: Funny signs you've snapped!
Here are a few silly road signs:
1. Gate No. 16 at Sydney Airport is indeed straight ahead, but you can only turn left at this intersection (Foreshore Rd and General Holmes Drive southbound on/offramps): 2. HUGE ARROW, tiny text

Eastgardens to Kingsford is a 1-2 section fare.

Well how the hell do you get out if there is a fire?
All posts are that of my own personal opinion and not that of my employer
Re: Funny signs you've snapped!
I would guess it's for the benefit of the Police/Fire Brigade/Ambulance/other Emergency Services who wouldn't let the little matter of lane markings, left turn only signs and other regulatory signs bother them too much.mubd wrote:Here are a few silly road signs:

Re: Funny signs you've snapped!
It probably is just something they've left behind from before the intersection was converted to left turn only. There are very tall metal poles in the median so you can't go straight.Albatross wrote:I would guess it's for the benefit of the Police/Fire Brigade/Ambulance/other Emergency Services who wouldn't let the little matter of lane markings, left turn only signs and other regulatory signs bother them too much.mubd wrote:Here are a few silly road signs:

I don't want to see this thread be closed, but I am posting exactly what the thread title expects
There's a bin sign here, yet there are no bins nearby
If you read 'disable' as a verb, the signs seem to be a command, rather than a direction
Sign instructions not being followed
There's no longer an exit here at Helensburgh, since the stairs have been relocated
Glandfield
These signs remain at Wingello, a decade later
The ticket machine has since been removed, however this sign remains there:
And it requests one to see 'staff' for toilet access:
There are also some more here as links:

A few years ago, I visited Ipswich. Wish I'd had a camera at the time: there were posters including
IPSWICH—SMART CITY
IPSWICH—CULTURED CITY
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS A CRIME

You used to have to pay money to see a freak show; now you have to pay NOT to.

AEC Decker snapped this sign at the Liverpool model railway exhibition LAST year and forgot to post it.
Funny enough, the same sign was missing this year.

These signs can be found all over the place, usually small. I presumed they are advertising something, not a mis-spellingMO-busfan wrote:

Not a sign as such, but someone has posted this on to a newspaper comment.
“Perhaps the photo caption should have read
"NSW Premier Mike Baird, and OTHER Murdoch exployees ........."”
How true!

Re: Funny signs you've snapped!
Saw one last year at Dufan (amusement park near Jakarta, Indonesia) on a flume ride. Because it was in the middle of the ride, I was unable to take a photo, but it said "Please do not stand and bowed when the boat slide away"
B1.2001 is awesome!
Re: Funny signs you've snapped!
It is a graffiti artists tag. People are starting to use stickers instead of spray paint cause they last longer. And I think it's the same group of vandals who acid etched heaps of Sydney trains'sboronia wrote:These signs can be found all over the place, usually small.
