They were an unusual looking bus with such a square Van Hool body and very small wheels - must have sounded strange with the 2 stroke GM diesels - you would have expected to see an MCI, GMC or in Australia a Denning mono wityh that sound>

You`ll find it wasn`t Van Hool that didn`t build the bodies for the KD class.

Yes, I am completely wrong about the bodies. If my memory serves me correctly, there was a quite attractive double deck body that Van Hool produced for the Ailsa Volvos of South Yorkshire PTE and didn't Dublin have some of that style of body on maybe AN68 Atlantean chassis??.
