Neoplan Articulated Double decker
They built only a few as coaches, not urban buses. The lack of success might have had something to do with poor riding qualities in the trailer. As can be seen travel between the prime mover and trailer sections can only be accomplished on the top deck. Not a pretty bus, but interesting nevertheless - this is an official Neoplan photo.

What year was this built, 1976? It screams mid 70s sometime.

I am not sure when it was built, but it is a fairly early one - probably mid-late 70's is a good estimationSwift wrote:What year was this built, 1976? It screams mid 70s sometime.

No, it didn't ride that well and that as the major problem with it, we put it on the Murtons Adelaide to Broken Hill run, but passengers were not keen on it.

A good article on how they built and operated Cyclops for the filming of The Big Bus (1976).

Jumbocruisers had access over the motor, via a stair case and walk way through the turntable area
If it's not a ZF, take it back!
