Another Canadian city trialling double decker buses

This is Strathcona County Transit in Edmonton, Alberta

A year of trial commenced on 29 Dec. 2010.

Fleet number 7000, this bus was the one running as a demo #27900 for 2 years in Community Transit, Seattle.

Livery and colour matching very similar to Logan City bus Services in Queensland

Plus Latin America, suppose to be a few purpose built demo for Jamaica, but somehow, no further news about it

And the bus was at Cochrane, North west of Calgary, about 40kms south of Edmonton. for a trial
before delivered to Strathcona.

Cochrane wants get 4 of these buses for the inter-city express by 2012, for students and commuters who doesn't want to drive and find parking.

As hard as it is for me to say it, the Enviro 500 actually looks ok in white.

I didn't realise places like Cochrane would need a double decker service to Calgary ... actually a Cochrane-Calgary service isn't that different from a Rouse Hill-City 61x run in Sydney. Similar distance and similar kind of commuters.

Doesn't make up for Edmonton getting rid of its Trolleybuses IMO.

For those who don't know Oc Transpo of Ottawa Ontario recently ordered 75 ADL E500 for delivery late summer 2012 .
and the Rtl of Laval Quebec recently demo'd a E500 double decker bus.
