Re: New 209 service
Service is probably something paid for by the Uni or something, and is probably not a major change so it might appear on the next timetable reprint.

Re: New 209 service
There used to be a lot of services to the airport. What happened? Now we're lucky to get 1.
New 209 service
The 209 shows up on iPhone app "Go Perth" with having only 2 services to Murdoch Station & none to the uni. They leave at 14:30 & 14:45.

Also ran during 2010 seen here turning from South Street into Murdoch Stationbusdriver12 wrote:The 209 running between Murdoch TS and Murdoch Uni ran for a while in 2009 which I ran a few times. The route number was never published on any timetables etc, but it ran during peak periods. This was around the time when the 206/207/850/851 terminus was relocated to it's current location in early 2009. IIRC it didn't last too long.
Mercedes Diesel less again
Re: New 209 service
Although that timetable shows multiple route numbers to the airport, they were to all intents and purposes the same route between the city and the airport. Routes 200, 201, 202, 208 and 209 shared a common route from the airport to St Georges Tce, then split to go their own separate ways between Perth and Claremont. The frequencies were not quite as good as the current 37, which appeared when the 200-209 were split into separate eastern and western routes in January 2001 (37 in the east, 23, 24 and 25 in the west). There used to be a lot of services to the airport. What happened? Now we're lucky to get 1.
As an aside, a direct and quicker service to the Domestic Airport via Great Eastern Hwy was also introduced in those 2001 changes - the 39 - but this route only operated hourly, its primary purpose being to integrate with the 36 to provide a 30 minute offpeak headway along Great Eastern Hwy.

Re: New 209 service
Yeah in fact when I was looking at the timetable, the frequency wasn't great at all. I think by memory on the weekends there were some random departure times and not set to a proper frequency. When I get the box up 50km from its current location, I'll scan the timetable.
