Transperth Website wrote: Route 888 - service changes in Dianella
Effective: Sunday 14 February 2010

From Sunday 14 February 2010, Route 888 currently operating between Perth and Light St in Dianella will undergo a route change.

Due to unprecedented demand, Transperth will extend Route 888 to Mirrabooka Bus Station and will not operate along Light St. Bus stops 16221 and 16227 will no longer be serviced by Route 888.

Route 888 will operate as follows:

Services will travel normal route from Perth to Alexander Dr/Light St, continue via Alexander Dr, left Yirrigan Dr right Chesterfield Rd right into Mirrabooka Bus Station.

Services travelling to Perth will operate the reverse journey, departing from Mirrabooka Bus Station (Stand 4).

Passengers are advised that the following new stops will be in place.
To Perth

* 12797 (Alexander Dr before Light St)
* 16464 (Yirrigan Dr after Avocado Dr).

From Perth

* 12841 (Alexander Dr after Light St)
* 16467 (Yirrigan Dr after Avocado Dr).

This service change will provide a direct service for students and staff travelling to Edith Cowan University from Mirrabooka Bus Station.

Pick up an updated Northern 76 timetable available from your bus driver, major bus and train stations and any Transperth InfoCentre from Monday 8 February 2010.

Yes. I was just curious as Alexander Dr is sort of the boundary with exceptions 19,20,67,68,69 but they all run inner city first before they cross boundaries. I went to Mirrabooka Bus Stn and I would hate to go there again.

That was my first time and I wondered why I always steered myself away but I was trying to get a ride on TP2035 which I did.

On Peak 888 is definately quicker. 30-31mins
Off Peak it is sort of the same. 25-30mins

But remember that 888 is not a connecting service at Mirrabooka. In fact on Thursday I'll be taking the 888 upto Mirrabooka from Alexander Dr.
