551 timetable

Not previously reported is a new timetable for Ivanhoe route 551 (Heidelberg to La Trobe University) effective 29 November 2010 v.1 (Nov 10).

There are no changes to the bus times from the previous March 2009 timetable, however there are some minor changes to the connecting train times.

A reference to the reduced December & January service on this route appeared in the Summer Holiday Timetables 2010/11 thread.

My mistake - I didn't spot it buried in the Summer Holiday Timetable thread

On Friday I discovered that the peak hour shuttles on Route 551 to/from La Trobe Uni now run 12 months a year, and no longer are withdrawn for 2 months each year. A boost from 30 minutes to 15 minutes is welcome even if there are fewer students around, just a shame they don't run in the direction for the commuter peak as well.

The timetable on Metlink website has been updated to reflect this.
