Portsea: Increased 788 summer service

Portsea Passenger Services will be providing an enhanced weekend service on Route 788 (Frankston - Portsea) over the peak summer holiday period on the Mornington Peninsula.

From Boxing Day (26/12) until January 30, weekend services will run every 45 minutes. Normally weekend services run at 75 minute intervals (with the oddity of hourly Nightrider services to Rosebud overnight!).

Prior to 2002 it was standard practise to have increased services over summer (including weekdays) - however the route received an upgraded service level throughout the year that was close to the summer service levels.

Can you explain what you mean - looks like every 45 minutes to me during the middle of the day...

Look at the christmas holiday period leaving portsea I don't know it is mistake and notice a few more errors

The 45 min weekend service will operate again this summer - starting from Boxing Day (26/12/11) until Sunday 29/1/11.

Timetables on the Metlink website.

My understanding is the 23:39 departure ex Frankston is part of the overnight NightRider timetable and shouldn't be shown on the various public holidays...
