The 9 November 2008 timetable for Routes 827/828 (Hampton - Berwick) has been reprinted, v2 Feb 09. Some minor renaming of timepoints and maps have been slightly revised.

Kind Regards

Grendas Bus & Moorabbin Transit.

Picked up at Dandenong Station tonight (20 June).

Routes 811/812 Dandenomg - Brighton & 823 Southland - North Brighton reprinted bus timetables now with metlink DL booklet Format (40 pages) dated 9 November, 2008 with v.1 (May 09).

This is the first time that Grendas bus timetables now produced in metlink DL booklet format Instead pocket format.

Cheers

Bradley.

What a shame. The folding timetables are great and people often carry them around with them. :(

I don't think that it is intended to progessively reprint them all in DL format, it will depend on the individual routes. However I beleve that the forthcoming reprint of Portseas 787 timetable will be in DL rather than pocket format. This the last timetable left in non Metlink format.

NOOOOOO!
How dare they kill all the non-Metlink timetables! But I would certainly go for DL for the 787, as it is more a bunch of routes under one name (at least on weekdays), so a separated section DL timetable would work better than trying to show this all in a pocket timetable.

Dear All

Picked up on my travels today the following pocket timetables:
  • Route 800 - 9 November 2008 - v.1 (May 09)
  • Routes 802/804/862 - 9 November 2008 - v.3 (May 09)
  • Route 850 - 1 March 2009 - v.2 (Apr 09)
At a glance, only appears to be formatting changes. The 850 map now shows the Dandenong Plaza deviation.

Kind Regards

Sent from Metlink.
Cardinia Transit routes 837/839 South Berwick to North Berwick effective 1 March 2009 v3(Mar 09)
Why is Grenda giving new effective dates to all these reprints? Isn't it a bit pointless? In my opinion, it is far more elegant to have one effective date for all routes in the company.

Why are they moving away from the pocket format? The DLs are harder to carry around. :(

My understanding is that Metlink are driving the change, they have a preference for DL format timetables.

Personally I like the A6 size timetables used by ACTION in Canberra & a number of NSW operators. They are a good compromise between the pocket & DL sizes, larger than the former but still small enough to fit comfortably into most pockets.

It would be great if we could also move to that size, I think that would be the perfect size!

Does it really matter what size timetables are printed. Everyone knows they are works of fiction

Another DL reprint - this time for Peninsula Routes 781, 784 & 785. Dated November 9 2008, but v1 (Feb 10).

Notable is the 785 timepoint at Mornington has changed from Main Street to Barkly Street, to correctly reflect the street the timepoint stop is located in (shared with 784). 781 timepoint remains in Main Street.

Kind Regards

Craig :)
