Letters meanings in the seat codes?

Postby Newcastle Flyer » Tue Aug 07, 2018 11:04 pm

What do the letters in the letter codes of the buses in the fleet lists mean? (And no I can't find any key to them)

EG: B53FW.

53 would mean the number of seats, but the B, F & W?

It's on the first page of Fleetlists under "other useful links":

No code for "front and centre doors with toilet", but guess would be DT?

Correct - many tour coaches are now (for example) C50DT.

The same codes in fleet lists are used in Australian Bus Panorama, Australian Bus and other enthusiast publications and have been for many years.

They are (mostly) based on those originally developed by the PSV Circle in the UK.
