O405NH RPM

I caught a Mercedes-Benz Custom Coaches bodied O405NH last year through a dull 60 zone at some point in time, and noticed that the revs seemed to at least sound higher than what they are on most of the SL202s that are still in service in Adelaide.

I haven't caught one of these through the solitary 900 metre (in service) 80 zone yet that Torrens Transit services currently have access to, but are these revs normal? How much fuel do they use compared to an O500LE? The O'bahn equipped Voith unit (542) seems to sound a tiny little less underpowered, but not by much.

Anyhow, here's a link to a recording that defines what I'm referring to.

The ZF NH's are a lot less effortless than a Voith one.

NH's and SL202's are totally different from each other. Different Engine, different gear ratios, different diff ratio etc... hence why they sound different. 1324 sounds the same as any other ZF NH.

They are a tad more thirsty an a Diesel OC, but not by much.
