Singapore Airlines Canberra/Wellington Service changes

Hello

Singapore Airlines has announced some changes to some of the routes which involves increased services for Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra which has increased from 4 to 7 weekly. Details here from Routesonline website.
Routesonline wrote:Singapore Airlines in today’s schedule update filed service adjustment to Canberra and Wellington, with new routing. Planned new routing as follows.

Singapore – Melbourne – Wellington eff 03MAY18 4 weekly 777-200ER/A330-300
SQ247 SIN1945 – 0510+1MEL0700+1 – 1220+1WLG EQV x237
SQ248 WLG1345 – 1530MEL1650 – 2245SIN EQV x134

Melbourne service will increase to 32 weekly. At time this post goes to press, SIA currently opens 1 of 4 weekly SQ247/248 bookings for Wellington.

Singapore – Sydney – Canberra eff 01MAY18 1 daily 777-300ER
SQ288 SIN1030 – 2010SYD2120 – 2220CBR2315 – 0515+1SIN 77W D

Overall service for Canberra increases from 4 to 7 weekly, Sydney increases from 33 to 35 weekly. Note SQ251/252 Singapore – Sydney service, currently served by 777-200ER, will switch to -300ER from 25MAR18, and replaced by SQ288 from 01MAY18. SQ does not have local traffic nor stopover traffic rights for Sydney – Canberra sector.

SIA’s existing 4 weekly Singapore – Canberra – Wellington will be served until 30APR18.
