Hydraulic truck suspension

Post by eddy »

I always thought that a load sharing triaxle was exactly that and if the airbags were connected then weight would be distributed evenly over all three axles.

After my brother’s truck got knocked off for 1t on the back axle I googled around and found the air pressure could be exactly the same and you could still be over on one axle if the trailer was at a slight angle because of the taper in the airbag piston.

Faced with drivers never knowing if they were legal or not plus thinking of a more road friendly suspension I started to draw a hydraulic one on google 3d but then I found they already make one so why don’t people use it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYFyIrLynOM
