Freighter Lawton's to PMC-Adelaide?

Postby Denv12 » Sun Jun 30, 2013 11:01 am

Are there any bus historians here?

I need to know what year did Freighter Lawton's became PMC-Adelaide? Also what were the obvious changes in bus and coach designs were there when they changed names?

Thanks.

Thank you for the link.

I thought it was around 1974 or 1975.I was at Royal Park High School then and the factory was an interesting site.

Freighter Lawton became Freighter by 1966.

Freighter became PMC South Australia around May 1976 in the middle of delivering numerous Bedford school buses to Wilkins of Ballarat who ended up with both sets of badging on otherwise identical vehicles.

I'd like to see photos of those. That be interesting.

What year was the Royal Park factory completed? I was at Royal Park High School in 1974 and 1975 and I remember the factory then.I worked in the panel shop in 1988-89.I started on the 1st PMC160 and others after that.
