I have absolutely no reason do diss the K230UB. Admitted - it's not the best bus around, but it does the job well.

I personally haven't had any issues with the K230UBs at Ventura. As long as it can climb the mountain up to Olinda, I'm sorted.

Some of the high powered 80's Leylands / Volvo B58's & most of all Hino BG/CG &CM's were all great driving with the correct sunken isle body style to decrease body roll...

where's a mouth watering smiley when ya want one!!

My list contains purely Adelaideian buses.

1)Volvo B58/B10M--PMCSA Commuter 8)
2)MAN SL200--PMCSA Commuter
3)Mercedes-Benz O305/O305G--PMCSA Commuter
4)MAN NL202 diesel--PMC/ABM/APG
5)Scania L94UB 6x2--Volgren CR224L

While I'm here, I'll also state my most hated buses;

1)MAN NL232 CNG--Custom Coaches CB62A (with those awful Citaro-lookalike fronts)
2)Scania K230UB--Custom Coaches CB60 EvoII
3)And finally, anything with a Voith transmission...

I'm a coaches kinda guy, so
1: Classic Silver Eagle (WITH pusher tag)
2: Late 80's Austral Tourmaster (with the aluminium/chrome siding)
3: Denning decker
4: Denning Landseer
5: Mercedes O303 with Austral-Denning body

Honourable Mentions in no particular order:
Scania K93 with PMCSA bodywork (aka Murrays style. I drove them, good coach, albeit with slightly bland styling)
MCA Marathon
Denning DenAir
Anything with a GM 2-stroke ;)

Volgren Scania single door
PMC Volvo articulated B58
Latest delivered model diesel NL202 (Ex Serco 419 to 433), before years of use ran them into the ground.

I consider the NL202's the last of the "real" buses, before all the plastic crap came flooding in. :evil:

Go ride/drive some Adelaide Metro buses Daz... The 18.280s are still better than most of everything else Adelaide has!

The one 18.260 in Adelaide isn't that brilliant... I'm talking about the 18.280s, which are better than some people give them credit for. If you really want to direct your hate towards something, why not the Scania K230UB?
