Hi All,

1 Favourite bus body? Custom Coaches mk 88, it's ok to be square. Followed by the 510 body. I have a soft spot for the step decks too
2 Favourite builder? Custom Coaches, followed by Denning.
3 My current employer, I know that I've had some differences with Joe C, but Busabout is in the top 3 & Westbus.
4 I think any of the big three European makers Volvo, Scania and Mercedes.
5 Scania, I just love that Opticruise Box, also with a Coach Design body.

1.what is your favirote bus body?
Autobus

2.What is your favirote bus builder?
Used to be Autobus, but since they don't exist anymore it is Coach Design

3.What is your favirote Bus company?
Used to be Clipper Tours from 1999 - 2002, then it was Australian Panoramic from 2002 - 2005, now it probabley be either Transborder Express or Premier Motor Service

4.Who makes the best city or route bus?
Probabley Bustech or if not Custom Coaches

5.Who makes the best coach?
It depends what the application is e.g. if it's express or charter then NCBC, if it's for luxury touring services and conferences then Coach Design. My choice, Coach Design

6.What is your favirote bus?
My favorite vehicle for a 3 axle would probabley have to be TV 3020, 2000 model, Scania K124 EB, Autobus body, hi-deck, ex Clipper Tours and Australian Panoramic. :D

For a 2 axle TC 3***, 2002 model, Scania K94 EB, Coach Design body, has Opticruise, I'm pretty sure Goldrush Tours sold it but I don't know who to if not then Goldrush Tours still own it. :D

For a 4 axle it would be ZAZ 539, 2002 model, Scania K124 EB, Coach Design body, twin steer 14.5m, owned by Sid Foggs Coachlines :D

4B: Who makes the best city or route body?
5.Who makes the best coach?
5B: Who makes the best coach body?
6.What is your favirote bus?
1: I'd have to award that gong either to Express or the Custom CB60.
2: I do have a soft spot for Renault/Irisbus.
3: Hard, this one. I think, however, that I have to give it to Transborder Express, along with Thompson's Strathpine, ACTION, and Sunbus.
4: Hard to say, but probably Mercedes in my eyes. Excellent performance and reliability, joined with good fuel economy. Just can't beat an O405.
4B: My own category, and I have to say Bustech. I recently rode a 5 year old, 445,000km Bustech O405, and while the body was bland and unattractive, it was solidly built and had not a single rattle.
5: Scania, no contest.
5B: Again, no contest, Coach Design. Good looking and comfortable.
6: Ooooh. So many come close, but I narrow it down to three, in random order:
M.A.N SL200, Ansair MkII. Best. Noise. Ever.
Irisbus Agoraline, Custom CB60. Smooth, powerful, reasonably quick, and a decent sound to boot.
Mercedes-Benz O405, PMC MkV. There's just something that endears me to these things. I don't know what.

One thing I must note is gearboxes. One of I my criterion for a bus is smoothness, or how comfortable the ride is and smooth the gear changes are. I don't care how good the rest of the bus is, if I get jerked every time the tranny upshifts then I don't want to know.
Which is why my vote for Best Transmission goes to Voith. ZFs seem to be hit-and-miss in that department, the ACTION Irisbuses are smooth as, but the near identical PR100.3s and their ZFs will give you whiplash if you're not ready for the kickdown.

1.what is your favourite bus body?
The Volgren CR224L because it reminds me of a new car and makes me want to ride in it.
Least favourite is the Custom Coaches CB60, its too unimaginative and functional-looking.

2.What is your favourite bus builder?
I like Volgren bodies, as far as the actual chassis goes Scania is my fav.

3.What is your favirote Bus company?
Hmm... dont really have a favourite. Transitplus's drivers are the friendliest.

4.Who makes the best city or route bus?
Today, that would be Scania for sure, I love the sound and ride of the new Scanias.

5.Who makes the best coach?
I dont mind some of the older Dennings on the Stateliner service, especially the double deckers.

6.What is your favirote bus?
The MAN SG280H in service in Adelaide, it rides well, is comfortable, looks imaginative and has a really quirky touch of class about it. 1943 and 1948 are my favourites overall.

Why have the admins not locked this SURVEY????
After locking an innocent thread in the photo section????
ie:

It is total BULLSHIT.
