24-hour public transport services

General Transport Discussion not specific to one state

In Scotland, FirstGroup's bus division in Glasgow give a 24-hour service on routes 9, 12, 56, 57, 66, 75 and possibly several other routes.

In London there are a large number of 24-hour routes which either go partly or entirely along the same routes as their daytime equivalents. The Aldwych area of London (by way of example) has 16 nightbus services operating roughly every 20 - 30 minutes: I wonder how much they pay the drivers?

Here in Bristol (where I live) the daytime routes finish roughly around 11:30pm - midnight. On Friday Night / Saturday morning & Saturday Night / Sunday Morning there are 8 routes, dubbed "Night Flyers" that leave the City Centre at the same time and operate a circular route of 50 minutes in length. Buses leave on the hour from the City Centre and return at xx:50 so there is then a period of 10 minutes to change over from one bus to the other if you have to. Flat fare of £2.50 which will get you from one side of the city to the other and includes your ride on the bus that you change over to. First buses from the City Centre at midnight, last bus 6am.

Thats it, as far as I know.

Sunshine Coast Sunbus operates a 24 hour bus service on it's route 600 (high frequency) and 601 services.

Route 600, operates between Maroochydore and Caloundra during the day and evening.

Route 601, operates between Tewantin and Caloundra from about midnight and through the early morning. It only operates Monday to Saturday - not on Sunday's or public holidays.
