General Transport Discussion not specific to one state

Sorry to dig up a really old thread... but some report from an inquiry mentioned that the cop car was indeed stuck trying to chase the crims. A bit like a scene out of a movie. Funny thing is, one of my mates took some shots, and the auto-coupler had gone through the driver's side window and it was hit that hard the speed radar gun which is housed inside the glove box had snapped it's brackets. The 90 class which hit it was pretty much brand new, and the cop car wasn't much newer.

What is so hard about maintaining a vehicle?

Lights, brake lights, indicators, wipers & tyres shauld be checked at least once a week. This helps to keep your vehicle roadworthy and will save you money in the long run.

It is an offence just to drive with your parking lights on. What do you think PARKING stands for.

It is not only the Police, Ambos & Firies that have to extract people from car/truck/bus wrecks, in some country areas the SES are usually a first responce unit to a scene.
