Board Competition
The ATDB Admin and Moderators have decided to hold a competition in the lead up to Christmas. The competition is open to all users with an interest in desto design, to come up with a replacement for the current "Bus Australia" picture in the top left of your screen.
The challenge is to incorporate "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all at Bus Australia", or words to that effect, in a new file. The trick would be to have an animated .gif image with scrolling text or multiple 'pages'. The style may be in Mobitec, Hanover, Southport etc, LED or flip dot or even old roller blind style. Even a combination of these if possible, it is up to you. Something different, would certainly be favorable.
Conditions/instructions:
• The entries should be restricted .gif format only and be 328x52 pixels, which is the dimesions of the current image.
• Closing date is November 30th
The most legible and creative will get to see their logo in the top left over the next 2 months or thereabouts. We want to acknowledge the skills many members have in desto design, so get involved and have a go! Thank you.

That's good 745-CH. Easy to read, & time to read the various stages.

Re: Board Competition
I don't know if us users can vote on the ones we like but so far for me it is a choice between jarf's as it simple and to the point or the one by VivalaBuses as it has Christmas graphics as well.
Since the competition is still running my choices could change if other real good ones are entered.

Re: Board Competition
TESTING (I hope this works) - At the moment, I can only post & view attachments here using IN-PRIVATE mode, and unfortunately is stalling the .GIF images
At the moment, it's just about even between 745-Castle Hill's & Connex's Mk V

Heres my entry. I know it is simple, but it's to the point.
You got a real flash bus, but my one's flash one, eh
And I believe that my one's faster than yours, Mr Bond

Re: Board Competition
Connex, when it scrolls to 'Happy New Year' why not have the number scroll to '012'?

I've modified it accordingly.Lemon wrote:Connex, when it scrolls to 'Happy New Year' why not have the number scroll to '012'?
One of my original plans was to have the 0 roll to X, making it appear as XII.
